LAKE GLENBAWN
Lake Glenbawn is a State Recreation Area and is the largest of the Upper Hunter waterways. It provides scenic beauty, Australian wildlife, boating, bush walking, fishing, golfing, picnic & BBQ facilities and is a wonderful place to visit. The lake stretches from the dam wall far back into the foothills of the Mt. Royal Range covering an area of 3,000 acres in water. Cottages, Cabins, Caravan Park and Camping accommodation is available.

Lake Glenbawn Hydroelectric Scheme
A small hydroelectric power station was installed inside the dam wall to harness otherwise wasted energy generated by the water release Outlet. Tours by Arrangement.
